July - August - September - October '01
- We are very proud that we can announce that we were able to "create" our own model !!!! Last year we mentioned already that the "General Direction" car of the world famous bicycling race the "Tour de France" was a nice red 166. By taking many photographs ourselves (Fer Akkermans and Luc Colemont) when the Tour de France "visited" Antwerp this summer we were able to convince Lars Muller (alias "Mister Moon") to produce decals exclusively made for "Alfa Romeo Miniatura" (limited series of 150 ex.) ! He did a great job and now you can transform for instance a 166 Solido into your own 166 "Tour de France" 2001 model !!! Fer Akkermans is waiting for your orders (17 Dutch gulden for one nice high quality decal sheet). I hope you will agree that this is our "model of the month July"....
- Minichamps continues in producing high-quality die-cast models. Their new "gift-box" is absolutely fantastic.... A very nice model of probably one of the most spectacular Alfa Romeo's ever made...the 33/2 "Stradale" ! Waaaaw... This is our "model of the month August" . And is not over yet.... Their 147 and 156 Sport Wagon are nearly "real" cars. Very well detailed and thereby definitely setting new standards for die-cast models ! We hope you will enjoy the 156 Sport Wagon as "model of the month September"...
- Some people have a more creative mind than others... Gijsbert Achterberg from Houten (The Netherlands) proved this by making a very nice and impressive 147 "cabrio" or should we call this a "spider" .... Probably this might inspire some people in Arese....
- I am sure that many of us would be very happy if someone would make a 1:43 model of this very attractive racing 147 of the British Touring Championship....
- Giorgio Garghetti from Italy has also started a new website dedicated to Alfa Romeo 1:43 scale models ! He is working together with Marco Sambataro. Have a look at www.alfa43.cjb.net !
- Ralf Meiser (RaMei) confirmed us that in the (nearby ?) future he will produce a very special 8C 2300, the so-called Viotti coupé, undoubtedly one of the most fabulous and most sensational early re-bodies of an 8C... This will certainly be a fantastic model !
- ABC Brianza is ready with a beutiful 1:43 reproduction of the sensational prototype spider Dardo by Pininfarina....
- Although we welcome every new 1:43 model , we must say that we are a bit disappointed by the quality of the latest Progetto K model...the AlfaSud.
- Using one of the Mr.Moon decal sets, we were able to make the 1995 "Silver Arrow" of Michele Alboreto, who recently died in a car crash with an..Audi...
April - May - June - July '01
- The succesfull range of Alfa Romeo Solido models is extended with the new 147 ! Those who prefer to built kits will find the Alezan 147 (available in Selespeed version) an attractive alternative.
- A nice and wellcome surprise...Minichamps rediscovered the beauty of Alfa Romeo ! With the red 147 (another one...) and especially the black 156 Sport Wagon they will have a lot of success !
- In their Millenium series Vitesse made a very nice "daily" diorama... a traffic accident involving a 1980 Spider and a pizza-motorcyclist...
- When you can make your own decals Alfa-life becomes much more interesting...John Langeveld made two very nice 147 specials : the Super Produzione andthe "Autovisie" test car who drove the 4000km marathon Amsterdam - Tallinn - Amsterdam . His Super Produzione is our model of the month June !
- Ralf Meiser continues in producing beautiful "special" RaMei Alfa's... his latest creation is absolutely wonderful well detailed ! This Mille Miglia 6C2500 SS Touring is our model of the month May !
- One of the Tron-brothers participated at the 2000 GTV Challenge in Italy. No surprise that this car is now vailable as a nice 1:43 scale model.
- ABC found in the archives of the Giro d'Italia a very nice and special 6C2500 ! Our model of the month April, also available in "stradale" or "street" version...
- For those who have a special interest in Polizia's and "Guardia di Finanza" Alfa's, Italia 43 has a nice 156 "Guardia di Finanza".
- Best will release som more race versions ( Sebring '64, Monza '67, LeMans '65) of the succesfull TZ1 and TZ2.... And new 33/2 's (Targa Florio '68 and Imola '68) are also on the waiting-list...
- Burago produced a very special 156 ...A typical "black-and-yellow" Spanish taxi (but apparently only on sale in Spain ?!)
- Rainer Goetzke (RGM Design) made a very special Montreal race version based upon the BBR kit : a yellow-blue Group4 racer of Watkins Glen in 1974..Wawww... !
- No surprise that Bang will offer us some more versions of their beautiful 2000 and 2600 Sprint coupé's. And they have also a special Giulietta to celebrate 10 years of modelism !
- Marco Sambataro is nearly ready with a fantastic hand-built model of the very special "American-look" 1900 spider "Astral" from Boneschi ! Great job Marco !
- The French M.C.M. company released the 1932-1933-1934-1935 8C2300 winning Alfa's as kit or (expensive) hand-built models !

- The Italian Alfa Romeo "Bialbero" club has a whole range of special diorama's and models decorated with "Bialbero club" decals....
- Gamma will shortly release a 2000 Ambulance (1970) ...
- Ban Seng Models is a new range of hand-built 1:43 scale models, concentrating on sports cars and concept cars. The first eight models are in preparation and there is one Alfa Romeo....the beautiful 1997 Ital Design Scighera. The cars are made to order only, and therefore very limited. February - March '01
- Two years after the presentation of the Bella coupé from Bertone, we are pleased to show you the very nice scale model produced by ABC Brianza...It remains a pitty that Alfa Romeo never considered the production of this beautiful car... It was an easy choice for the model of the month March ! And Laura Brianza confirmed us that Andrea is hard working on the Dardo which will be ready very soon....!
- The 156 was very succesful last year in the "Euro Challenge". Fabrizio Giovanardi was the overall winner of the European Super Touring Cup Championship, a competition of twenty races held on six Italian and four European circuits. SC Model produced four different Alfa's that were present in this competition. Very well detailed hand-built models ...and therefore our model of the month February .....!
- Progetto K will come very soon with different die-cast models of the AlfaSud and the Alfa 90. And even the Matta is on their program.
- At the Geneva Motor Show another very nice Alfa Romeo-powered concept car was presented. This time it was another Italian design company "Fioravanti" (well known for their beautiful concept cars) who gave us an idea how a coupé can be very easily changed into a spider. Mamma mia....!!! Here are the first pictures of the "Vola"..... And the Brianza family is once again interested....!
- Scala 43 is ready with a whole number of GTAm's These models can also be seen at their new website !
December '00 - January '01
- Minichamps finally released the very special "fan-car" Brabham-Alfa Romeo F1 of Niki Lauda's victory in the GP Sweden of 1978 ! A very nice "die-cast" Formule 1 Alfa Romeo and therefore our model of the month December !
- Absolutely stunning is the beautiful 6C 2500 SS Touring coupé that was very well made by Klaxon ! Superbly hand-built and well presented in a wooden 'cigar' box with Alfa Romeo script on the top of the box... No surprise that is our first model of the month of the new millenium.... And their 6C 2300 Pescara spider is also a beautiful piece of art. It's available in four versions : the Mille Miglia 1936 #38 version, the very nice black Mussolini's car and two "stradale" versions !
- And there is more good news for those who like the 6C 2500's. Top Model has several versions of the 6C 2500 SS spider (stradale and Mille Miglia)
- The March 711 Alfa Romeo Formula 1 car is now also available from MG Model Plus...!
- Ralf Meiser (RaMei) is working on a very nice and special 1900 : the "Supergioiello" Ghia ....once belonging to the famous Brigitte Bardot !
- We are still waiting for a nice die-cast model of the 156 Sport Wagon.... The first OFF43 version was not accurate enough for release on the market...
- Progetto K has also some delay (not the first time...) with the production of their AlfaSud's and 90's.... But in the meantime there is another nice version of their 75 Evoluzione series...
- Vitesse made a Spider diorama "Downtown driving hazards" as part of their limited Millenium series....
- Jolly released 3 versions of the Giulietta Sprint Zagato : stradale, Le Mans '58 and Le Mans '60, but many people have some doubts about their accuracy...
- Scottoy re-released the Giulietta and the Sprint, new releases from the '94 edition....
- Euromodellismo (Milan) made limited editions (based on the Bang version) of the 2000 Sprint 'Polizia 1961', 2600 Sprint 'Squadra Volante 1964' and the 2000 Spider ....
- Italia 43 (specialized in Polizia and Carabinieri versions) has a Polizia Alfa 6 2.5 available....
November '00
- We are very proud that the brand-new Alfa Romeo 147 has been elected "Car of the year 2001" in Europe ! And Majorette seems to be the first to be ready with a nice 1:43 scale model of the 147 !
- I recently "discovered" this very nice and accurate 156 race version : the winner of the Belgian Procar "Belgacom Trophy" Championship, driven by Sébastien Ugeux. A limited edition of 100 pieces by 43ème Rugissants !
- The Italian Alfa Romeo club "Il Bialbero" has produced in association with La Miniminiera several nice "Giulietta boxes" to celebrate the 90th anniversary ! Great idea !
- Did anyone know this very particular "wild" protoype "TZ11/2" that was recently sold at an auction in Germany ?! This would be a very special scale model... Something for Alezan or Ramei ?!
- We are very pleased that Autopassion - a model shop- in Haarlem (The Netherlands) has produced in co-production with Minichamps the 156 race version of the "Illy Racing team" ( driver : Frank Kerseboom) of the Dutch "156 Challenge" ! This beautiful car will surely find a nice place in many collections ! It is our model of the month November !
August - September - October '00
- Now it is official !!! ABC Brianza will release with ref.132 the very nice concept-car from Bertone, the Bella which was shown at the Motor Show in Geneva in 1999. And they also have produced a very special Alfetta V6 2.5 pick-up !
- For those who have a special interest in 6C2500 models there is more good news. The (ABC) Brianza family made a very nice 6C2500 "6/7 posti" and a very special "RAI" 6C 2500 of the Giro d'Italia !
- Peter Zell, an Austrian Alfa Romeo enthusiast and scale modeller has made a 164 Station Wagon (dark green) !
- Progetto K will very soon release several versions of the AlfaSud, no surprise that among these there will be the usual Carabinieri, Polizia and Vigilo del Fuoco versions. The "90" Alfa Romeo would even be available before the AlfaSud.
- It seems that Alezan will be one of the first to produce the brand new 147 ! This splendid new model will without any doubt have the same success as the 156 and 156 SW ! We are still waiting for the 156 SW model..... Will Solido continue their splendid die-cast job ?! We heard that Solido is ready with the 147 !
- SC Modelli made several Italian race versions of the 156. As soon as possible we will provide you with more details.
- Marco Sambatoro (Gulp Models) has worked on some more new special Giulietta's. They kan be seen at his new website !
- There is not only a 156 Polizia version in Heilbronn (Germany), but also a very nice 166 "Feuerwehr" ! My local scale modeler (Tony Toys) took the challenge and created something very special : the model of the month October !
- A few weeks ago Fer Akkermans (our Alfa-model-list specialist) negotiated with Vitesse for future Spider models. With success. One of the first will be the Niki Lauda-limited edition Spider...
- Scala 43 has not only very nice GTAm's, but also a very special Giulia in production ! These models can also be seen at their new website !
May - June - July '00
- The 2000 Sprint from Bang is without any doubt one of the nicest die-cast models ever made. Hard to find any difference with (much more expensive) hand-built models ! Many thanks Bang !! No surprise that it is our "model of the month July"
- Progetto K continues in producing very nice rally-versions of the famous GTV, so succesfull in the 80-ies... Our "model of the month June" !
- For those who have a special interest in the Mille Miglia there is now the beautiful 6C 2300 from RaMei, expensive but worth its money.... A good choice for the "model of the month May" !
- Rio used an old model (6C 1750-1900) to create one of Mussolini's cars ! Very interesting this "black beauty"....
- The AlfaSud and the "90" from Progetto will be available by the end of the year... Be patient...
- Fer Akkermans ("Mister Alfa Miniatura list") and his son Frank discovered the pleasure of creating their own "specials". Father made the German 156 Polizei car from Heilbronn (what a great model !), while his son worked two weeks on the 156 Zender-version ! This should give inspiration to many model makers ! And will the 166 "Feuerwehr" be the next one ?!
- Jadi, apparently a new Chinese die-cast comapny, released another Superturismo '99 version of the "156 Selenia" racing car....
- Bang released more versions of their succesful Giulietta Sprint. For the next milennium the Alfa Club "Il Bialbero" released a limited edition of the Giulietta. There is the car from the Germans Schramm and Falk participating at the Rally of Sestriere in 1958 and there is a limited edition (1000 ex.) of the white "Ruoteclassiche" Sprint participating at the historic "Mille Miglia" of 1997.
- Did you noticed that in the world-famous "Tour de France" -the biggest race-cycling event on earth- the directors were driving and following in a red and blue 166 ! And I even noticed a black 166 further on. We hope that Solido or somebody else will understand our message ! These would be great models for every collection !
- By adding one very small decal and switching the numbers of the license plate -all the rest of the model is exactly the same...- Vitesse introduced the Duetto 1750 Veloce... Should we appreciate this ?
April '00
- The Chinese die-cast company New Ray, well known by their cheap models, has another Alfa Romeo in their City Cruiser series : a yellow 8C 2900 spider from 1938 !
- Burago will also produce 1/43 Carabinieri and Polizia and race versions of the 156 !
- In order to celebrate their 10th anniversary, Bang released 5 special scale models (limited edition) including one Alfa Romeo : the Giulietta Sprint 1st series
- Progetto K continues with very nice rally versions of the succesful GTV (Rothmanns, Kenia Safari, etc..)...
- Enjoy the "model of the month", a real beauty !!!!
- The "nose" from Exem's SZ Coda Tronca seems to be correct according to a picture we found in the Dutch magazine "Het Klaverblaadje" ! But what happened with the race number ? One of our Mini-Alfisti, Ian Hind from Australia discovered that the model from Yow Itoh is probably the most correct one ....!!

- The first pictures from the 2000 Sprint coupé from Bang presented in Nürnberg show an excellent, very well detailed model !
- Franz Pabst from Scala 43 let us know that his first "Medley Bourbon" Alfa GTA will be on the market within four weeks.
- Ralf Meiser (RaMei) is ready with his next model : a beautiful 6C 2300 Touring body is available in two versions : a "stradale" or "street" version and a Mille Miglia 1937 (Boratto-Guidotti #119 - 4th place) version.
- Our "model of month March" demonstrates very nicely what can be achieved when a superb kit is transformed by creating new decals ! Congratulations to JAL 43 from Spain !
- In the most recent "Tron" newsletter, we discovered a nice 156 with sport wing from Glamour Models and Remember's "closed" version of the 33TT3 V8 of Andruet-Facetti in the Giro d'Italia 1975.
- Tip Top has a painted kit of the GTV6 (Mourgues) Cévennes 1985.
- DMC (new series of Danish racer kits) announces the GTA of Gunnar Henriksen 1967.
- Provence Moulage released another succesfull 33/2 : the winner of the "Ronde Cevenole" of 1969.
February '00
- The "model of the month February" is really something very special !!!
- Scala 43 (Germany) will release this year their first Alfa's : two nice "Medley Bourbon" Giulia's from the German Touring Championship in 1974 , a GTAJ and a GTAm.
- FB Modelli - the specialist in pre-war Alfa Romeo's- has once again created another version of the very nice 8C 2900's, for many people the most beautiful Alfa Romeo's ever constructed. Unfortunately it is not easy to find or order these models.
- FB Modelli also made a very limited series (50 ex !) of the very detailed "open" and "closed" Bimotore ! Nice and ....expensive !
- For those who are interested in "special" Polizia Alfa Romeo's, Progetto K has two new interesting models : the Giulia Super prepared for Angelini and the white 75 T "Giro d'Italia 1988".
- Progetto K also made a special yellow Alfa 75 for the world-famous Toy Show of Nürnberg in Germany. Their 2000 catalogue is also plenty of new Alfa Romeo die-cast models !
- Progetto K is also ready with the production of the Nuova Giulia Super.
- Bang will release some more rally versions of the Giulietta Sprint 1st series and Giulietta SZ ! Later this year they will also produce the 2000 Sprint coupé ! And even the 2600 Sprint is in preparation !
- SMTS has a very nice kit of the BAT 7 ready !
January '00
- Enjoy looking at the "model of the month January"
- Provence Moulage seems to be inspired by the success of their power-boat racers, since they released a second very nice Alfa Romeo speed boat : the impressive Laura 3 of 1954 !
- Microworld made a very nice -limited edition- diorama of Enzo Ferrari with a P3 racer in front of the "Scuderia Ferrari" office in Trieste...
- Exem came out with a "stradale" and a race version of the SZ Coda Longa, but they forgot (?!) the Alfa grille in the front spoiler....
- Progetto K will release very soon the Giulietta and even the nearly forgotten Alfa 90 is on their list! Later the AlfaSud will follow...
- Ralf Bech (Pole Position) is working on a SW version of the 164 !
- OFF 43 has still problems with the production of the grill of the Matta jeep, but within two months they should be ready....
December '99
- Jolly Model is ready with their first die-cast version of the famous 6C 3000 CM racer. Kling and Riess drove in 1953 the 24 h Le Mans with race number 23. We thought it would be a nice "model of the month" December !
- FB Model comes with another famous Mille Miglia car. At the first edition in 1927 one of the five touring RLSS was driven by Arpinati and Bertoni (#94) but unfortunately they did not finished in Brescia....
- For those who are not sure about the true nature of the Niki Lauda March-Alfa 711 from Quartzo there is good news. MG Model Plus made a correct kit of the March-Alfa Romeo 711 F1 of de Adamich and Galli.
- Competition 43 (from Germany) announced the production of a 75T -"Toshiba" racer from the DTM '87 races (Thiim)
- Alezan (re)produced the spectacular 33 Pininfarina 1969 "styling exercise". A beautifully made and well detailed model of one of the great classic design exercises.
- Marco Sambatoro let us know that the people from Gamma models will be very Alfa-active next year ! They prepare an AlfaSud Giardinetta (SW), a 1750/2000 Ambulance (from Marazzi) and even a 2300 Pescara coupé ! Sounds very interesting... Marco Sambatoro (Sambamodels) will have his superb 1900 Astral (carr. Boneschi) ready in the second half of the year !
- At the most recent car show in Bologna the "Advanced Design" department of the FIAT-group presented their latest creation ! Six young students created during their training the most recent Alfa Romeo concept-car : the Centauri. This 4 x 4 driven barchetta (spider) has a V6 3 liter engine that can be seen through the transparent bonnet ! We, Mini-Alfisti, need only a 1:43 scale model !
November '99
- For those who have a special interest in the Alfa F1 history there is good news ! In the early '70's some March 711's were powered by a V8 3000 cc Alfa Romeo engine. The one that was used by the famous Niki Lauda during the Austrian GP in 1971 is now available in die-cast from Quartzo (Vitesse group) ! Very nice !
- Gamma produced a very nice and well-detailed 4-doors model of the famous AlfaSud. Nobody will be surprised that a 3-doors and sportswagon version will follow in the future. They also have a very nice 1750 Saloon and even a race version (24 h Spa 1968) of this car.
- The special "GTV -cup" versions of the new GTV are now available from Tron and Racing 43, although we have some doubts about the color of the body... Differences between the "presentation" and "race" version ? Our model is now ready !
- Minichamps will impress (again) may people with their first 156 race-versions of the German 1999 STW-cup. What lovely racers... Although the choice is sometimes difficult, we thought it would be a nice "model of the month" November !
- Klaxon continues with special pre-war models. Now they produced a very special 6C 2300 Pescara car originally build for the founder and previous owner of the Martini-company, Theo Rossi di Montelera. Amazing !
- A new (another) Italian company Pallino presented their Alfetta "Kyalami" race version (die-cast, Progetto K-like)
- JAL 43 let us know that he continues in producing the 155 race versions from the Spanish Touring Championship. One of these models was published in the last issue of 4 Small Wheels.
- Mini-Car has a kit of the 6C 2500 SS "ala spessa" Mille Miglia 1940 (#80)
- The new catalogue from Jolly Model has very interesting news for die-cast collectors ! The famous and succesfull 6C 3000 CM will be available in different Mille Miglia and Le Mans race versions. They also will produce the Barchetta 6C 3000 CM (1 G.P Supercortemaggiore - Fangio 1953)
- Ralf Meiser (RaMei) let us know that he is finishing his 6C 2300 B Mille Miglia (# 119 fourth place MM '37 Boratto-Guidotti) model. It should be available by the end of the year.
October '99
- The succesfull 156 has inspired many companies. Minichamps continues their tradition with very nice "stradale" and attractive race-versions from the German STW Cup.
- Alezan's new 145 is the new version (with the new front grill) of Alfa's smallest car...
- For those who like the top-quality models from BBR, there is a nice 156 Carabinieri version !
- Pasquale Di Stasio (formerly FDS) from Top Model has a very nice die-cast model from the Vignale Tipo 412 (Mille Miglia 1951) - based upon an 8C 2900 chassis- available ! And more Mille Miglia models are scheduled ! No surprise that it is our model of the month !
- Solido surprised many Alfisti with a complete range of new Alfa's in die-cast ! Initially they were presented in nice special "red gift boxes", now also in more common boxes. High-quality models at low prices, what do we need more ?! These 156, 166, GTV, Spider and Nuvola's will certainly receive a nice place in many collections....
- The amount of new Progetto models that is coming out is hard to follow. Many versions of 75's, Alfetta 2000's, GTV 6's and even Giulia's find their way to the market !
- Marco Sambataro (inspired by our "Hope of the Future" page ?) is working on the most American Alfa that was ever produced : the 1900 spider "Astral" from Boneschi !!! It will still take a few months before this nice model will be ready ! Very soon he will have a Giuletta "Weekendina" and "Giulietta 6P Ministeriale "Colli" available.
- "Just Married" is the title of the diorama that Fer Akkermans made for a very special occasion ! Our wedding on september 11th ! Many thanks Fer for this original gift ! Definitely the "model of the month September"
- The succesful race car from the early 60's, the SZ is now produced by Bang in many versions.
June 99
- With a certain delay (...) Vitesse finally released their Duetto. To be honest, it was worthwile waiting ! The model is one of the best die-cast Alfa Romeo's ever produced. No surprise that it would be our model of the month ! And for those who don't like really much the "round-tail", they also made the famous "kamm-tail" spider ! What a choice ...
- And this is even not enough, since nearly at the same moment Exem (from Progetto) also put their Duetto on the market ! It's "Graduation" time !
- Solido will make a lot of people very happy with their new GTV-box ("Exclusive Series")
- Lars Muller (Mister Moon) surprised once again with one of those special 155 DTM-racers !
May 99
- Remember, well-known for their highly detailed kits, is ready with their first Alfa Romeo: the world-champion Alfetta racer from 1951. It will be available in different versions.
- After the "stradale" and "Carabinieri" versions, Automodelli Glamour has a very nice 156 Polizia available.
- Prior rumours that ABC Brianza would produce the very nice Dardo were not confirmed by Andrea Brianza himself...
- The introduction of a special "GTVcup" in Italy has inspired Paolo Tron. He will produce this race version within a few weeks !
- "Sports Cars 43", a Belgian one-man-factory specialized in rally and race versions, will make the 156 race car of ex-Formule 1 driver Thierry Boutsen (Belgian Procar '99 Championship)
- It is no real surprise that after the spider version, Alezan will also release the coupé Speciale Alfetta from Pininfarina
- Best "opened" the succesful 33.2 race car and now there is another spider available !

April 99
- One of the latest FB Model creations is a beautiful and very elegant 6C 2500 SS coupé by Touring !
- Progetto K adds the Nuova Giulia Super from 1973 to their long list of nice die-cast Alfa Romeo's !
- Those who like old racing Alfa's will be very pleased with the production of the famous 6C 3000 CM by Jolly Model (both the LeMans and Mille Miglia versions will be available very soon)

- The event of the month will be the presentation of the 1:1 prototype 166 coupé from Bertone "Bella" at the Geneva Motor Show. I am anxious to see which manufacturer will be the first to produce the 1:43 version ... (Not all together please...!) Isn't this a beauty ?!

- OFF 43 is ready with a "double cab" F12 and... the Matta 4 x 4 jeep (all in resin)
- Exem (belongs to the Progetto-K group) announced the SZ long tail and .... the Duettos' 1300 and 1600 from 1966 !
- Progetto K also plans a Giulietta 1977 and a Nuova Giulia Super 1973
- Rio will release a new Giulietta die-cast : the "Miss Italia 1955" edition (delivered wih the Miss !?)

- For those who like real special Alfa's .... the new 1:1 Gillet Vertigo ( a very nice race car made by Belgian ex-driver Gilet) will not have anymore a Ford-Cosworth engine in the future; it will be replaced by.... yes, a 3 liter V6 Alfa Romeo engine ! J.P.S. Miniatures is already preparing the new (fabulous) 1:43 kit !
- Alezan continues with the production of special prototype Alfa's ! After the recent Caimano, it is time for a Spider Speciale Alfetta from Pininfarina presented at the motorshow of Torino in 1972 !
- Minichamps is ready to release their first 156 racing cars!
- The mini-museum has completely been redesigned. More than 200 different models are on display ! Have a look and sign the guestbook!

- Competition 43 (from Germany) used the excellent BBR-kit to make two very attractive 155 TS racers from the '97 German Championship. The Beru sponsored car of Pfeil and the Cool Fire sponsored car of Engstler.

January 1999
- Very soon, the 75 Sports Wagon (S.W.) will be available from Progetto K ! Later on, they will release different versions of the Matta jeep, for the fisrt time available in die-cast !
- DetailCars came out with many street-, rally-, and race-versions (1300 Junior '69, GTV 1750 and 2000's) of the famous and very elegant Giulia Bertone ! This is absolute die-cast top quality !
- Provence Moulage had a very nice surprise a few weeks ago ! They made an Alfa Romeo 158 engined racing speed boat from the mid-'50-ies. A superb Alfa Romeo model.
- BBR made several nice versions of the 1900 SS Zagato (1955), the golden one is very impressive !
- Gila Modelli surprised us with a very nice and impressive Matta jeep, the so-called "Servizio Antincendio" !
- Rainer Götzke from RGM Design will produce in collaboration with BBR the very elegant and special Junior Zagato. I know several people who will be very happy !
- and we still have no news from the Dardo.... Any one out to produce this very special and spectacular concept car from Pininfarina ?! A must for every (mini)-Alfa lover...Hello, Michel Ducleux from Alezan, do you hear us ?
- and look for the model of the month January '99 ! (always very difficult to make a choice....)
December 1998 (sorry that I was out for several months...)
- For those who prefer resin-kits instead of die-casts there is good news. Speed (an ABC-product) has already several versions (different colors) of the new 166 available !
- Francesco Borin, the man behind FB Modelli, added two more pre-war Mille Miglia 6C 1500 GS's to his long list of Alfa Romeo's. These two cars will be produced in a limited number of 100 pieces each.
- BBR continues with more race-versions from the 156. This next one is the 156 C.I.V.T. 1998, sponsored by....BBR and race number ....43 !
- Best made another very nice looking TZ2 in light-blue.It is the car driven by Volontiero and Sangri at Monza in 1967.
- We are still waiting for the Duetto's from Vitesse !
- The Caimano , once an Alfasud-based concept-car from ItalDesign (1971), is now available as a very nice kit from the other French company Alezan, the specialist in concept-car kits.
May - November 1998
- Ralf Meiser is still very active : his latest RaMei productions, the Tipo A G.P.1931 in a (Nuvolari) race version and a very nice and special prova version are wonderful pieces of German art ! You can have already a first impression of his next model !
- Majorette was very fast in releasing "promo"-scale models of the brand new limousine, the top of the new Alfa-gamma, the 166 !
- Brumm came out with two very well-detailed 33 SC 12 "Fernet Tonic" models, real winners from the early '70's ! Excellent price/quality ratio for die-casts !
- Another well-known Italian die-cast company, Bang, showed that the quality of their die-cast is really getting outstanding : the new Giulietta SZ's and Giulietta Sprint's prove it.
- The 1952 Matta jeep -yes a real Alfa Romeo ! - will be produced by OFF 43. Their limited number of the white-metal Zagato Periscopia will be rare to find at this moment...
- Fuxia, another new one-man factory from Italy, had a very good start with a beautiful 6C 2500 Turismo from 1939 !
- Remember, an Italian company, made a very nice transformation from a 155 racer Minichamps. The "Polizia" bought the car from Nannini and prepared it for one of these mountain rally-races (Caprino-Spiazzi 1997) in Italy. Excellent transformation, both color and decals !!!
- Automodelli Glamour, specialized in Polizia en Carabinieri models released the 156 in a typical nice dark-blue Carabinieri version ...
- There are some more 156's coming out : Bo-G has a nice pre-painted iceblue body available. Giocher has not only white metals from the 156 but also from the GTV in "stradale" version.
- After the Niki Lauda "fan car" Tameo now released the formule 1 Brabham Alfa Romeo BT46 with surface radiator (1977). One of the best kits ever made ....!
- Vitesse promised us -we received an e-mail from the chief of the company- that the Duetto will be available this month ! A nice "Christmas-gift", but can we wait so long....
- The Brianza family holds the tradition of high-class very special Alfa Romeo models. What to believe from the -very expensive- Scuderia Autodelta car transporter (double deck units - 1971) and the new fire engine, the "Mille" Vigili del Fuoco ...! Just amazing !
- Progetto continues with the work they announced a few months ago : a lot of different Giulia Bertone's and a whole series of nice 1750 and 2000 Alfetta's. In the meantime we can enjoy several 75 rally versions.
- It's no surprise anymore that BBR released already the different superb 156 versions that run the Italian Touring Car Championship. Absolutely stunning ! That Giovanardi would be the winner is no major surprise for Alfisti...
- Onyx will also bring some 156 versions from the BTCC races.... Wait and see ...But they did not participate at these races ! Probably it will be the German and Italian race versions !
- Alezan has a very well made and detailed kit of the 145 driven by Anthony Delon during the Alfa Cup in 1997. A bright red body with a lot of nice white decals can make things very exciting !
- Alezan has also a very nice and simple kit from the 146 Junior.
- MCM has decide to produce some excellent kits and hand-build models from the early Le Mans winners and racers. Hihgly-detailed, beautiful models !
- BBR in co-production with RGM made some more interesting Montreal's. The "Zolder" 1974 version has some very nice "stars and stripes" decals !
- How many Alfisti know the special tipo 103 (Giulia-like) prototype from 1954 ? ABC Brianza has it now for us !
- for those who are looking for a nice and well equipped 2000 (Bertone) Sprint coupé kit, there is now one available from Tron
- MicroWorld (Autostory) made a new mini-diaroma with a 8C 2300 driven by ... Enzo Ferrari in 1931 !
March - April 1998
- Who will produce the superb styling-exercise from Pininfarina : "the Dardo" from the motorshow of Torino ?!?!
- The never-ending die-cast list from Progetto K continues :
there is a very nice new red Alfa 75 Evoluzione Gr A Corsa 1987 and a new white 75 "Canonica" from the Italian Touring Championship.
Don't miss the special blue-metalic Giulia from the RAI (Radio Italia). And there is even more to come !
They announce a 2000 Alfetta, a white Giulietta 1600 and an Alfetta GT/GTV6 stradale and two rally versions, including the 1984 European Touring "Totip" champion !!!
- Tron has a very special new GTV-prototype : a bright yellow Conrero-bodied (with spoiler) and tuned 1998 "Challenge"
- OFF43 continues in producing different versions of their attractive Romeo 2 and F12's, including some nice ambulances.

- The Brianza family made again some very nice Alfa's. What about two tipo 316's and three tipo 312's from the late thirties with racers like Farina, Biondetti, Guidotti and Nuvolari !
